DraftKings NBA picks March 9: Bledsoe and Middleton to win
By Mike Marteny
DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:
Best Bets:
John Collins ($9,000): Collins has at least 45 DraftKings points in five of the last six games. He had a dud against Memphis in that time, but redeemed himself on Saturday against the same Memphis team. If Collins plays 35 minutes against Charlotte, which is what he averages lately, he might break the slate. I’m not kidding.
Pascal Siakam ($8,700): On paper Utah is still good against power forwards, but Siakam shredded that in the first meeting. He racked up 53.25 DraftKings points in that game. Do you really want to bet against him? The Raptors are starting to get healthy again and Siakam is at his best when he’s not counted on to carry the whole load. He is playing a ton of minutes right now and should be considered an elite GPP option.
Honorable Mention:
P.J. Washington ($5,600): Washington is a very solid option. He keeps putting up between 25 and 35 DraftKings points and his price hasn’t really moved. That six in a row over 25 for Washington, inluding three straight over 30. He put up 41 in the first meeting against Atlanta, so there is plenty of upside for this price.
Dark Horses:
Marvin Williams ($5,000): DraftKings pulled a pre-emptive strike and jacked up the prices on both Williams and Ersan Ilyasova with no basis for it whatsoever. Even though Ersan started last night, Williams played more of the minutes and both of their point totals combined didn’t hit 5x vlaue at this price. This is a massive risk against a decent team. I would look elsewhere.
Jerami Grant ($4,300): Grant is the safer pick among the Denver forwards. He put up big numbers on the Bucks the first time around with 36 DraftKings points. The issue is that I doubt Grant plays 32 minutes like he did the first time around. The Denver bench is loaded, but Grant has enough upside to at least be interesting.
