1. player. 41. Scouting Report. 6-foot-6 | G. USA. LaMelo Ball. Pick Analysis

The Warriors may decide to trade this pick in this scenario, but if they stay put, Ball is an interesting fit. He could end up starting his career finding Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson off of screens for 3s and rack up assists running the floor with the reemergence of the Splash Brothers. One could think of worse situations for a rookie.

We don’t know for sure yet, but Ball could be up to 6-foot-7 with around a 6-foot-10 wingspan, meaning he can slide to multiple spots defensively. His primary role in the NBA projects to be a shot creator, and while his projected usage might be a little high to play with someone like Curry, the way he sees the floor would make this an exciting fit despite the concerns. With obviously one of the highest ceilings in the draft, Ball could ease his way in and eventually fit in with the Warriors ball movement while feeling less pressure to score initially than he would in almost any other situation.
