Denver Broncos: CB Prince Amukamara (Released by Chicago Bears)

It’s safe to say that Vic Fangio’s first season as an NFL head coach didn’t get off to a smooth start. The 2019 Denver Broncos found ways early on to lose games in the fourth quarter, suffering heartbreaking home setbacks to the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars. When it was all said and done, the Men from Mile High opened 0-4 and were behind the eight-ball early in the AFC West.

But all was not lost. Fangio’s squad forged a 7-5 run the remainder of the seasons. And rookie quarterback Drew Lock came in late in the year and gave the club a spark. Down the stretch there was a resounding upset of the playoff-bound Houston Texans and all told, the Broncos came up with four wins in the team’s final five games. And Denver’s defensive unit would allow only 28 offensive touchdowns in 16 contests.

But general manager John Elway has a lot to of decisions to make in terms of veteran performers. The most notable are Derek Wolfe, safety Justin Simmons and veteran cornerback Chris Harris. Should the latter move on the Broncos could fix things quickly by signing Prince Amukamara. The well-traveled defensive back is available now and has familiarity with Fangio’s system.
