New Orleans Saints: CB Ronald Darby (Philadelphia Eagles)

The New Orleans Saints have won the NFC South each of the last three seasons, a streak unprecedented in franchise history in terms of division titles backs but Sean Payton squad has failed to take advantage of their opportunities and the club has fallen short of reaching its second Super Bowl each year. The last two seasons, the club fell at home in the playoffs – each setback in overtime.

As for 2019, Payton’s team was a bit erratic after a strong start. And the Saints’ pass defense struggled down the stretch. And it safe to say that the game’s biggest play in New Orleans 26-20 home overtime loss to the Vikings in the wild card playoff was a Kirk Cousins-to-Adam Thielen completion that covered 43 yards in the extra session and paved the way for tight end Kyle Rudolph’s game-winning TD reception.

The potential free agents in the secondary for this team include physical strong safety Vonn Bell and cornerbacks Eli Apple and P.J. Williams – the latter a third-round pick back in 2015. As for adding to this unit, talented Ronald Darby has had problems staying healthy in recent years but may be worth the gamble. His five-year resume includes eight interceptions and 65 passes defensed in 57 regular-season outings.
