Buffalo Bills: DE Jadeveon Clowney (Seattle Seahawks)

Sean McDermott has been the head coach of the Buffalo Bills for the past three seasons. Two of those campaigns resulted in playoff appearances and in 2019, the franchise won 10 games for the first time since the club finished 11-5 back in 1999.

That’s some of the good news. Some of the other positives include the improvement of quarterback Josh Allen, who made definitive strides in his second NFL season. A bolstered offensive line, rookie Devin Singletary and ageless Frank Gore spearheaded the league’s eighth-ranked ground attack. And only two teams allowed more total yards per game than Buffalo’s formidable defense.

But coordinator Leslie Frazier’s unit was not without its shortcomings. Too often the Bills proved to be quite susceptible to the run. McDermott’s squad allowed 131.0 yards per contest in its six regular-season losses and another 141 yards on the ground in the wild card loss at Houston.

Adding defensive end Jadeveon Clowney would not only make a potent Buffalo pass rush a little more potent, the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft is also solid against the run. The Bills certainly have the cap room to make such a move and his addition could take their defense up a notch or two.
