Cincinnati Bengals: DT Damon Harrison (Released by Detroit Lions)

It’s been quite a fall from grace for a team that at one time was a playoff staple period from 2011-15. Over that span, the Cincinnati Bengals owned a combined 52-27-1 win-loss record and reached the postseason in in each of those five campaigns. Unfortunately, the club never tasted success in the playoffs. In fact, the franchise hasn’t won a postseason game since 1990 – the longest active drought in the NFL when it comes to that category.

Now the club is less than seven weeks away from making the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. There’s a long way to go between now and then but from every indication it will be a quarterback and the name most frequently spoken is Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow. Of course, a team doesn’t finish 2-14 without having a bevy of issues.

In 2019, the Bengals surrendered a whopping 420 points, allowed the fourth-most total yards in the NFL and the most rushing yards in the league. Star defensive tackle Geno Atkins remains one of the best in the business but adding Damon “Snacks” Harrison up front gives head coach Zac Taylor one of the best run stoppers in the game. Released by the Detroit Lions last month, he is available to be signed immediately.
