54. . Cornerback. Philadelphia Eagles. Kristian Fulton. 21. player

The Philadelphia Eagles kick off the playoff team portion of the first round, and they do so by adding a player to one of their key positions of need. Sure, Carson Wentz needs some help at the wide receiver spot, but Kristian Fulton from LSU may be too good a player to pass up here with the No. 21 overall pick.

Philadelphia was able to sneak into the playoffs this past season, but if they would like to repeat as NFC East champs, they have to get better in the secondary. Fulton was a shutdown cornerback during his time with the Tigers, and has the size, speed, and hands to be an elite option at the NFL level as well.

The Eagles are losing Ronald Darby this offseason, and the depth behind him is not good at all. Look for them to make a splash at the cornerback position in free agency, and during the 2020 NFL Draft, and getting a premium talent like Fulton this late in round one is a no-brainer.

. Wide Receiver. Buffalo Bills. Tee Higgins. 22. player. 16

The Buffalo Bills have their needs on both sides of the ball this offseason, but as we saw last year,  they also have the talent to be a perennial playoff contender in the AFC. Looking at their offense, they certainly could use some help at the wide receiver spot, and lucky for them, this first round is loaded with talent at the position group.

One of the more dynamic wide receivers in college football the last few seasons has been Tee Higgins, a big reason why the Clemson Tigers make an annual trip to the College Football Playoff. On this Bills team, he would slide right in as the WR1 from Day 1, giving quarterback Josh Allen an incredibly gifted wideout to throw to.

Allen  took a solid step forward in Year 2 during the 2019 season, and the team appears to  be in good hands with him under center. Getting him more weapons, and better protection, is a priority for this franchise moving forward, and they can start that process in a big way by drafting Higgins.
