1. CB Logan Ryan (Tennessee Titans)

He had a huge season for a team that came within one victory of a second Super Bowl appearance for the franchise. And it may be a bit of a surprise if productive cornerback Logan Ryan was found on the unrestricted free agent list next week, given what he did for the Tennessee Titans in 2019. The regular-season resume was impressive as he totaled a team-high 113 tackles, to go along with four interceptions, four forced fumbles and 4.5 sacks. He also finished third in the league with 18 passes defensed.

In the team’s three-game post season adventure, the one-time member of the New England Patriots totaled an impressive combined 25 tackles versus the Pats, Ravens and Chiefs. There was also a pick-six late in the game against former teammate Tom Brady in Tennessee’s upset of the then-defending Super Bowl champions at Foxborough in the wild card round. Ryan is also a player that Lions’ head coach Matt Patricia is more than familiar with as well.

So could the Lions make a run at the seven-year pro and two-time Super Bowl champion? That might depend on whether the team winds up dealing quality cornerback Darius Slay, who was the subject of trade talks last month (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter). In any case, Detroit’s secondary is in dire need of some major revamping and the addition of Ryan could be an enormous upgrade to this unit – especially teamed with Slay.
