2. Denver Broncos

Long gone are the days of which the likes of Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr. locked down the secondary for the Broncos. Talib is entering the twilight of his career elsewhere and Harris is a free agent this offseason.

Denver is going to be better in 2020. Second-year quarterback Drew Lock should improve from his rookie campaign and has some solid weapons to throw to. He also has a sound running game. Defense has been the Broncos’ calling card when they’ve been at their best. They need to get back to their roots.

Vic Fangio is a defensive-minded head coach. Kareem Jackson is emerging as one of the better safeties in the league. Bryce Callahan needs a running mate at corner. That’s where Byron Jones comes in.

The AFC West will likely be the Kansas City Chiefs’ to lose for the next few seasons at the minimum, but that doesn’t mean the Broncos can’t make things interesting and still be a playoff team. With multiple exciting young pieces already on the roster, adding Jones would be a great move to help round out the defense in an attempt to get it back to its old form.
