4. Arizona Cardinals

There was plenty of good news this past season when it came to the worst team in the league in 2018. Under new head coach Kliff Kingsbury and eventual NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Kyler Murray, the Arizona Cardinals scored 136 more points than they had the previous season.

Bolstered by the midseason trade of running back Kenyan Drake and with an assist from Murray, the Cards went from dead last in the league in total offense and rushing yards to 21st and 10th, respectively, in those categories.

But let’s not bury the lead when it comes to the reason Kingsbury’s team is on this list. No team in the league allowed more total yards in 2019 than the Cardinals. Under the guidance of defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, the club gave up the second-most passing yards in the NFL and a total of 47 offensive touchdowns. The latter figure includes a league-high 38 scores through the air.

Opposing quarterbacks exploited Arizona defenders underneath and up the middle all season. Joseph’s unit gave up 16 scores to both tight ends and wide receivers, five to running backs and one to Saints’ versatile weapon Taysom Hill.

So imagine what versatile Cory Littleton could do for a team that not only has such problems but he remains in the division in which he has spent his brief four-year career in?
