3rd round

Wyoming’s Logan Wilson has been a steady riser throughout the draft process and seems to be a lock for top-three rounds selection.

A former defensive back, Wilson’s skills in coverage and ability to manipulate quarterbacks and create turnovers is readily apparent when watching his film. He tested surprisingly well at the Combine and combined with his leadership and college production, would be a great fit for the Chargers’ defense in round three.

Defensive coordinator Gus Bradley covets linebackers with athleticism to be trusted with coverage responsibilities and Wilson is more prepared than any prospect in the position group to do just that. The team has met with him twice during the draft process so far and is more than likely squarley on their radar for a mid-round selection.

Combined with the return of Derwin James from injury, the Chargers’ defense could be ready to take a huge leap in 2020.
