Reigning College Football Playoff national champion and LSU head coach Ed Orgeron gave a PSA on staying healthy and preventing the spread of coronavirus.
Tweeted out by Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards, the one-minute video features Coach O giving tips on how we can all help prevent the spread of illness during this pandemic:
His tips help cover the basics of the “gameplan” to keep people as safe as possible as we face the spread of coronavirus.
He starts with normal tips like covering your cough with your elbow and making sure to thoroughly wash your hands for 20 seconds. As we’ve also been told many times already, Coach O reminds us to stay home if we feel sick and call our doctor first before going in if we think we should be tested for COVID-19.
Avoid contact with anyone who is sick is his next tip. With that, he urges us to protect our at-risk loved ones from exposure, including the elderly. For those who aren’t at risk, he encourages everyone to “take care” as they go about their daily business.
Coach O finishes up by encouraging everyone to “team up” to protect our health and to get facts and information from www.coronavirus.gov and your state’s health department.
For those who have heard from Coach Orgeron before, the lack of his signature “Go Tigahs!” shows just how seriously he takes this subject.
