Miami Dolphins

Miami must be mentioned when it comes to any prospective superstar trade because of the sheer amount of draft capital and cap space the Dolphins have at their disposal.

Though Devante Parker enjoyed a breakout 2019, the Dolphins are still desperately short at receiver. Landing Hopkins would give them a dynamic starting duo and make life significantly easier for the rookie quarterback expected to enter the fray in 2020.

The Dolphins have the financial capability to hand Hopkins’ a lucrative contract extension. Though they are some way from being contenders, Brian Flores’ demonstrated enough last season to suggest he is a coach whom players will want to work under. Florida’s lack of state income tax also makes Miami an attractive destination.

Trading for Hopkins would kick the Dolphins’ rebuild into the next gear. It’s simply a question of how many of their plentiful assets they’re willing to give up.
