Several teams have already made splashes in NFL free agency, but what have been the best moves so far?

The legal tampering period of NFL free agency in 2020 began on Mar. 16, and it didn’t take long for teams to start making big moves. Top free agents like Austin Hooper and Byron Jones found new homes, while blockbuster trades were made.

But what have been the best moves of free agency thus far? Here are the top five.

1. Arizona Cardinals acquire DeAndre Hopkins

This isn’t a signing, but c’mon. We’re starting here.

Bill O’Brien isn’t a good coach, and he’s an even worse general manager. It’s something NFL fans figured out pretty quickly last year after he mortgaged his future and traded star defensive player Jadeveon Clowney.

The Texans head coach hit a new low this offseason, trading superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and a fourth-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and a second-round pick.

Hopkins is one of the best offensive players in the entire league and is worth a couple of first-round picks alone. That the Cardinals were able to add one of the league’s top three wideouts in exchange for a running back who averaged 3.7 yards per carry and under 30 rushing yards per game is insane.

No disrespect to Johnson, but the Cardinals seem to like Kenyan Drake, whom they transition tagged, more. And Hopkins is exactly the No. 1 receiver Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury need to take the NFC by storm in 2020.
