Kansas City Chiefs

1. Ronald Darby
2. Graham Glasgow
3. Kyle Van Noy

The biggest mystery surrounding the Chiefs this offseason is what happens with defensive tackle Chris Jones, who was one of the catalysts of their comeback in Super Bowl LIV.

Jones appears destined for the franchise tag but whether that will result in the Chiefs keeping him around for 2020 is anyone’s guess. Should he leave then the Chiefs will have a massive hole on the interior of the defensive line to address.

The secondary is just as much of an issue, though, and the Chiefs may need players to take a discounted rate to play for a contender with only $19m in projected cap space.

Patrick Mahomes’ presence as starting quarterback improves Kansas City’s hopes of luring players to Arrowhead Stadium on team-friendly deals. Darby is a prime candidate for such a contract, having struggled to stay on the field for the Eagles.

Glasgow’s addition to a shaky interior offensive line would be a welcome one, while Van Noy’s ability to operate as a linebacker-defensive end hybrid and pressure the quarterback makes him an excellent fit for a team perhaps on the verge of losing their most talented pass rusher.
