Philadelphia Eagles

1. Byron Jones
2. Jimmie Ward
3. Marcus Mariota

The Eagles have needs at cornerback and safety are know the value of positional flexibility in the secondary, with Malcolm Jenkins having played a crucial part in their rise.

Depending on how the safety market shakes out, paying both Jones and Ward may prove difficult. However, if the Eagles managed to do so, they would possess two interchangeable players with experience of playing every position on the back end.

Eagles fans will be crying out for an infusion of talent at wideout having seen the team’s receiving corps decimated by injuries last year. The draft is a more likely avenue for the Eagles to address their pass-catching arsenal, however.

Philadelphia does not have a backup capable of keeping the team competitive were Carson Wentz to go down injured again. Once the reported apple of former coach Chip Kelly’s eye, Mariota would be an excellent insurance policy for Philadelphia’s franchise quarterback. The former Titan has a similar if inferior skill set with his ability to extend the play and make throws on the run.

As 2019 proved, the Eagles are not far away. Bolstering the pass defense and protecting against another potential Wentz injury should be the first steps as they plot another championship run.
