2. Left-handed pass vs. Broncos

If the touchdown pass against the 49ers was the play that convinced Chiefs fans that Patrick Mahomes was gifted, this play and drive made one thing clear: He has the “it” factor.

On Monday Night Football, Mahomes hadn’t played his best game. Naturally, though, he improved throughout the course of the contest and was able to engineer a game-winning drive because of his mental and physical tools.

On 3rd-and-5 at the 45 yard line, Mahomes had to get out of the pocket quickly. With Von Miller wrapping up his legs and bringing him down, Mahomes switched hands and threw a left-handed pass to Tyreek Hill (who got out of bounds for the first down conversion). The slow-motion replay of this unfolding is even crazier than the one in real-time.

Every player has an MVP moment. Mahomes had many of them in the 2018-19 campaign, but this one was about as close to being the moment as one can get. It was a perfect display of physical agility, mental agility and a dash of greatness.
