A blockbuster trade was agreed to Monday that had NFL Twitter going crazy. The Houston Texans traded star wide receiver in his prime DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for running back in decline David Johnson. Included in that trade, the Cardinals receive a fourth round draft pick this year and the Texans receive a second round pick this year and a fourth next year.
This puts one of the best wide receivers in the league with one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in Kyler Murray after being through a ringer of mediocre quarterbacks that ended with young star DeShaun Watson. Hopkins has performed excellently no matter who was throwing him the ball, so having another young dynamic quarterback will certainly lead to success.
Meanwhile, the Texans received David Johnson, who was beloved years ago by fantasy owners and football fans for his incredible breakout season. Injuries piled up after that and Johnson was never the same player. He will join Duke Johnson in the backfield in Houston.
Without Johnson, the Cardinals are left with Kenyan Drake, who had a great season after being received in a trade from the Dolphins last season. The Texans, meanwhile, added a running back of similar talent to what they currently have and are left with Will Fuller, Kenny Stills, Keke Coutee, and whoever else they pick up for Watson to throw to.
As you can probably imagine, football Twitter had a field day with this huge trade. Here are some reactions:

David Johnson (a RB showing clear physical slowdown) and DeAndre Hopkins (arguably the best WR in the NFL, currently in his prime) will both be 28 years old when the next NFL season starts. Can't wrap my head around this one. pic.twitter.com/oxZO5P8Keg
