4. RB Melvin Gordon

Running backs don’t get paid these days, and Gordon made a bad miscalculation about his value last season. Gordon held out well into the campaign hoping to get a new contract with the Los Angeles Chargers but ended up caving, returning to the team in the middle of the season.

The rust Gordon accumulated led to some of the worst performances of his career, leading the Chargers to commit to Austin Ekeler instead of him long term. Gordon may be looking for a one-year prove-it deal to reset his value, and a highly-motivated Gordon could be very effective in the right situation.

3. WR Robby Anderson

Talented receivers who are tall and run fast are rare, so Anderson should be in demand. Anderson is undoubtedly being hurt by the deep draft class at receiver and notions that he’s simply a burner.

With the New York Jets, Anderson was a fly route guy when he first came into the league but he took significant steps forward at the end of 2019. If Anderson can add to his route tree as he did in November and December there is top receiver potential to be had here.
