Round 3, Pick 86

Original Selection: Kareem Hunt, RB – Toledo

New Selection: Eddie Jackson, S – Alabama

Since the Chiefs already have Kamara, they can turn their attention to helping out the defense by selecting Eddie Jackson out of Alabama. The Bears will long be remembered from bungling this draft by selecting Trubisky instead of Mahomes, and while that sin is unforgivable, nabbing Jackson in the third round was a great move by Chicago.

Jackson would have been a godsend for the Chiefs, particularly in 2018 when their defense couldn’t stop a nosebleed. Jackson has been a terror for the Bears on defense. In his rookie season, he totaled 73 tackles, one forced fumble, received three fumbles for 75 yards and defended six passes, intercepting two of them and returning one for a touchdown.

In the three years since he was drafted, Jackson has 184 tackles, 10 interceptions and three touchdowns. He is a two-time Pro Bowler and in 2018, was named First-Team All Pro.
