Round 4, Pick 139

Original Selection: Jehu Chesson, WR – Michigan

New Selection: George Kittle, TE – Iowa

The Chiefs needed receiving help in 2017 and so they took a flier on a raw receiver out of Michigan named Jehu Chesson. That was a mistake. Chesson turned out to be a bust and hasn’t recorded any stats in a regular-season game since 2018. His career statline stands at three receptions for 25 yards.

The Chiefs cut him after one season.

Instead, let’s have the Chiefs select George Kittle. Kittle was taken by the 49ers at the start of the fifth round and all he has done since then is become the second-best tight end in football behind Travis Kelce.

Kittle is a monster, both as a receiver and as a blocker. After a solid rookie campaign, Kittle blew up his stats in 2018, catching 88 balls for an NF- record 1,377 yards. Kittle followed up on his 2018 season with another 1,000-yard campaign. Reid would have a field day utilizing Kittle and Kelce together in two-tight sets. Ah, what could have been.
