Bored Patrick Mahomes makes for a really entertaining Twitter follow
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is bored without sports but he’s using his Twitter account as an outlet for some good old-fashioned fun.
Even Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes isn’t immune to getting a little slap-happy while social distancing.
With many people across the world staying home and practicing social distancing to help contain the spread of COVID-19, bouts of boredom are bound to pop up. This morning, it was the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback who took to Twitter to vent his frustration.
Thankfully for Mahomes, some of his friends and followers were quick to reply with ideas for how he could pass the time.
First up was Matt Miller of Bleacher Report, who suggested Mahomes call into his podcast. Unfortunately, even though it is the offseason, Mahomes needs permission from Chiefs PR before agreeing to an interview.
FanSided’s own Matt Verderame came next, showing concern for Mahomes’ stockpile of Cool Ranch Doritos.
Next, LaTroy Hawkins challenged Mahomes to a few rounds of ping pong but all that did was make Mahomes sad that he didn’t have a pingpong table of his own.
A lot of people are turning to video games to fight the boredom and so Mahomes’ teammate Gehrig Dieter suggested Mahomes fire up his gaming console to play Call of Duty.
For those who don’t know, “@brittanylynne8” is Mahomes’ girlfriend, Brittany Matthews. Unfortunately for Mahomes, Matthews got wind of his tweets and playfully took offense.
Hilariously, Mahomes backpedaled, showing excellent use of the Homer Simpson GIF.
Since Twitter is undefeated, this led to numerous responses from followers relating to Mahomes.
It is good to know that even during a tough time, people can lift each other up with a little humor. Twitter isn’t all bad.
