Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears is a standalone adventure film featuring the characters of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries.
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is an Australian TV series based on a book series by Kerry Greenwood. Starring Essie Davis as Miss Fisher and Nathan Page as her partner and long time will-they, won’t-they love interest Detective Inspector Jack Robinson, the show ran for three seasons from 2012-2015. The fandom is passionate, the period drama procedural checks a lot of boxes that make it an excellent binge watch and delightful escapism.
So it’s really no surprise fans of the show rallied for more and here we are. Crypt of Tears picks up where season 3 ends and the plot is described as follows:
"After freeing a young Bedouin girl from her unjust imprisonment in Jerusalem, Phryne Fisher begins to unravel a decade-old mystery concerning priceless emeralds, ancient curses and the truth behind the suspicious disappearance of Shirin’s forgotten tribe."
Here’s how you can watch Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears online. Despite the pivotal role Netflix played in building the fandom, it’s exclusive to the streaming service Acorn TV for now.
