Jeff Okudah. CB. 812. 1. Ohio State. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

We love when the unexpected happens, and this is exactly that. Nobody is talking about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers trading into the top five to get the best cornerback in the league, but that’s exactly what might happen here. Jeff Okudah is one of the best players in the draft, maybe the best outside of teammate Chase Young.

Yet, Okudah could theoretically fall all the way to number five in the draft. The first pick is going to be Burrow. The second pick could be Tua Tagovailoa. If Young goes next and the Giants stick to taking the offensive tackle they want, then this insane cornerback is going to be available at No. 5.

Do we need to sell Bucs fans on Okudah? Well, as the viral response to a reporter will tell you, he had zero pass interferences and zero holdings despite playing against some of the top wide receivers in college football and excelling. He participated in every drill at the NFL Combine and was impressive in literally every single one.

Okudah is going to be a star cornerback from game one. The Bucs desperately need that kind of production from the outside, with Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting as the starters. Okudah would immediately propel the Bucs into that top contender status. Adding this defense with a Tom Brady led offense? Is that really not worth the extra picks it would cost to move up? We are only for moving up in very specific cases and this is one of them.
