Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Whereas the New England Patriots needed to wave goodbye to Tom Brady and take one step toward a new era, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the perfect landing spot for the legendary quarterback. And no, it’s not simply because of the warm weather.

Bruce Arians is the type of head coach who is at his best when he has a couple of years to work with, goes all out, and tries to build an immediate winner. By signing Brady, the Buccaneers have swiftly changed the culture of the organization. Beyond Brady being a massive upgrade over the comically interception-prone Jameis Winston, he forces everyone else in the organization to focus on winning a Super Bowl. Nothing less than a championship will satisfy Brady or Arians.

The Buccaneers made some other big moves, too. They franchised Shaq Barrett, who is one of the best edge rushers in the NFL and has made the Denver Broncos look sillier and sillier with each passing game.

Tampa Bay re-signed his partner in crime, Jason-Pierre Paul, maintaining one of the league’s better tandems.

The Bucs picked up a solid offensive tackle in Joe Haeg on a cheap deal, avoided overpaying Carl Nassib, and could still keep the explosive Breshad Perriman as yet another big-play weapon for the incoming Brady.

All in all, this was a great offseason for the Bucs, and it all goes back to the Brady signing. He absolutely changes the game for this organization.
