The Raiders are bringing in Eli Apple in free agency to give their secondary a boost. That doesn’t mean corner isn’t still a big need for the team. Las Vegas will certainly give the draft’s second best corner strong consideration at either No. 12 or No. 19.

Henderson isn’t an elite prospect like Jeff Okudah, but there’s a ton to like about his athletic gifts. Cut on his film at Florida and you see a player who isn’t afraid to challenge top quality opponents. The Raiders would love to add his swagger to their pass defense unit.

Drafting Henderson would allow Apple to slide inside to play the slot. Trayvon Mullen showed promise playing for Gruden last year, so he should be in line to start on the other boundary. Adding Henderson to the mix allows the rest of the Raiders’ defensive backs to slot into their natural places on the field.

Henderson may not be a Pro Bowler anytime soon, but he’s talented enough to play like an adequate starter early in his NFL career. That makes him worth selecting at No. 19. It’s not a lock that he’ll last that long, but if he does, look for the Raiders to scoop him up.
