. Edge. Minnesota Vikings. A.J. Epenesa. 25. player. 60

The Minnesota Vikings have seen some of their recent leaders on the defensive side of the ball leave via free agency this offseason, as well as a star wideout leave in a trade. With their earlier first round pick in 2020, the one they got from trading away Stefon Diggs, they address the offense, before getting better on defense at No. 25.

When it comes to the edge rushers in this draft class, there are some talented names behind Chase Young, the consensus No. 1 player in the position group. One of those prospects is A.J. Epenesa from Iowa, who comes right in and helps a defensive line that has lost Everson Griffen this offseason.

Minnesota will be back in the playoffs next season, as they not only have a playoff-ready roster, but they should be able to add two elite talents in the first round this April. Their defense did not play up to their potential in 2019 and they still made the postseason, so look for the new injection of talent to help them get back.

Grant Delpit. 26. player. 59. . Safety. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins not only hold three first round picks this April, but two more in the 2021 NFL Draft, and they have already started bolstering the roster. Adding elite players on the defensive side of the ball via free agency, the Dolphins use their first two of three first round on the offense, before landing a key defensive talent late in round one.

Miami has their issues in the defensive backfield, and that means they should use their final first round pick on getting better back there. Grant Delpit is widely regarded as the second-best pure safety in this draft class, and that is an area the team still needs to address.

The Dolphins have already added Byron Jones to the cornerback group, giving them one of the best in the league at that position. Adding Delpit makes them that much better in the secondary in 2020, and in an AFC East that should be wide open, the Dolphins could come in and shock some teams.
