Cornerback. Dallas Cowboys. Kristian Fulton. 17. player. 123.

The Dallas Cowboys have done a nice job bringing back their talented players on the offensive side of the ball, placing a franchise tag on quarterback Dak Prescott, and locking up wide receiver Amari Cooper on a long-term deal. Unfortunately, that has meant that the defense has lost some big-name free agents, including cornerback Byron Jones.

Jones was a perennial Pro Bowl player for the Cowboys, and losing him in the secondary is going to hurt immediately. Also, they have lost safety Jeff Heath, so it would be wise for the team to use their No. 17 overall selection at getting better in the secondary, and they do so by adding LSU’s Kristian Fulton.

Fulton is a guy who can come in and start right away at the NFL level, and many believe that he is the third-best pure cornerback in this draft class. He can fill the void left by the loss of Jones in this Cowboys defensive backfield, and no matter how elite the Cowboys are on offense this season, they are going to need to shore up the defense.

Miami Dolphins. Andrew Thomas. 18. player. 59. . Offensive Tackle

The Miami Dolphins are in prime position to really improve their team this offseason, as they have already been very active in free agency. In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dolphins hold three first round picks, including the No. 18 overall selection, which they acquired when they traded away Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Pittsburgh Steelers

After bringing in their franchise quarterback at No. 5 overall, they get themselves a franchise left tackle, drafting Andrew Thomas from Georgia. This is a guy who can come in and fill the void left by Laremy Tunsil, who the team traded away for the Houston Texans first round pick a little later in round one.

Thomas is widely regarded as one of the more NFL-ready offensive linemen in this draft class, and some mocks have had him being drafted in the top-10. He falls a bit here, but based on team needs as they change from now until April, he could certainly end up being at least picked in the top-12 selections.
