Jalen Suggs heads up a top-10 recruiting class for Gonzaga
Hailing all the way from the prestigious Minnehaha Academy in Minnesota, Jalen Suggs is the biggest and most-coveted high school player Mark Few has ever recruited to Gonzaga.
Sporting a āZag Upā t-shirt on an ESPN broadcast on Jan. 3, Suggs said he would be āfurthering (his) basketball and academic careerā at Gonzaga under Few. Rated a 99.7 by 247Sports, Suggs will pump up the ceiling considerably for the Bulldogs. Not since Nigel Williams-Goss a half-decade ago has the school had a true lead dog at point guard to run the offense. And Suggs is by far a more talented player at this age than Williams-Goss.

Joining Suggs in Spokane will be Dominick Harris and Julian Strawther, two four-star wings who will fill out the backcourt rotation with perhaps the most talent ever assembled at Gonzaga.
While there is a question of whether Joel Ayayi will jump to the NBA after a strong season, the depth chart figures to look like this for the Zags next year:
G ā Suggs, Ayayi, Harris, Martynas Arlauskas
F ā Kispert, Anton Watson, Strawther
C ā Petrusev, Drew Timme
Despite the WCC improving and other schools bringing in better classes, few programs will use momentum and continuity from 2019-20 along with a dominating recruiting class to the 2020-21 season like Gonzaga will.
