1. Robert Parish

“The Chief” was part of a legendary Hall of Fame frontcourt for the Boston Celtics with Larry Bird and Kevin McHale in the 1980s, and that’s what he’ll forever be known for. He was also a Celtic through his age-40 season (1993-94), when he played and started 74 games.

But it’s hard to recall that Parish hung on even longer than that, and played three more seasons elsewhere. He played two seasons with the Charlotte Hornets, playing in 74 games and starting 34 as a 42-year-old in 1995-96.

Parish then signed as a free agent with the Bulls for the 1996-97 season. He played in 43 regular-season games, matching his age as he started three contests and averaged a solid 14.3 points per 36 minutes. He then played 18 minutes over two playoff games, during the run to the middle title of the second three-peat.

Parish called it quits after that lone season with the Bulls, his 21st NBA season, with another ring on his fingers to cap his career. His longevity is notable, and now you know he won a title with Jordan. Even in a minimal role, red and black looked odd on Parish.
