2. Henry Ruggs III

Ruggs’ elite speed has him shooting up draft boards as the event grows closer. There are now significant rumblings that he will be the first wide receiver off the board.

That might be an overstatement, but it’s still a solid indication of where Ruggs is trending as a prospect. He has won over a lot of NFL executives with his ability to make big plays. Ruggs isn’t the biggest receiver in the class, but he is the fastest.

Most importantly, he’s a walking, talking mismatch for offensive coordinators that are always looking for an edge. There may not be a corner in the league who can stay with him one-on-one. Every team would love to have a skilled receiver who can always require safety help.

Ruggs could even draw trade attention from a contender that believes he can put their offense over the top as a slot guy. That may be where he’ll provide the most value at the next level. No matter where a team wants to line Ruggs up, he’s going to be extremely popular on Draft Day.
