Miami Dolphins

Whereas the Rams have had a quiet free agency thus far, the Dolphins have been making major moves in the second phase of their rebuild.

After tanking last season, the Dolphins are assembling a talented roster in 2020. Byron Jones joined the team in free agency to pair up with Xavien Howard, who will form the bedrock of this defense. And Miami loaded up on linebackers to bolster the front seven.

Now, the Dolphins need to focus on skill positions players and has 14 draft picks, including three first-rounders. Their quarterback situation remains up in the air and will play out on draft day, but they do need a true superstar at the wide receiver position for their young quarterback in 2020 and beyond.

Brandin Cooks, who had four straight 1,000-yard seasons between 2015-18 in three distinct offenses, would be a dream addition.

Still only 26, Cooks has plenty of explosiveness but also plenty of experience, and the Dolphins could benefit from his consistency and excitement. Cooks would be the immediate No. 1 option and a massive upgrade over Allen Hurns in base personnel, combining with DeVante Parker as a big possession receiver and Albert Wilson as the slot playmaker.

The Dolphins have shown they are willing to make bold moves this offseason to build a future contender in the AFC, and Cooks would definitely be another impact player.
