The Bears trading for Nick Foles should spell the end of the Mitchell Trubisky era in Chicago. Foles is familiar with the system and when healthy has shown he can do things that Trubisky simply cannot.

The Bears defense is still one of the top units with Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, Roquan Smith and Akiem Hicks. The addition of Robert Quinn should ensure the Bears have one of the top pass-rushes in the NFL. If Jimmy Graham has any gas left, Chicago’s passing game will have another weapon to draw attention from the criminally-underrated Allen Robinson.

The Cowboys said goodbye to former Pro Bowler Byron Jones who left as a free agent. Then, they bid adieu to Robert Quinn and the 11.5 sacks he had last year who signed a $70 million deal with the Chicago Bears.

Then, they watched former All-Pro center Travis Frederick retire. They were able to re-sign Amari Cooper to a big extension but Dak Prescott is still slated to play on the franchise tender. The draft could swing the balance of power depending on what the Cowboys do with the No. 17 pick.

The Colts got blindsided by Andrew Luck‘s retirement a year ago and still managed to claw their way to a 7-9 record with quality wins over teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans. The Colts have playoff-caliber talent but they need a quarterback to help get them there.

Enter Philip Rivers. Rivers looked washed last year in Los Angeles but perhaps a change of scenery will give the old gunslinger new life. The Colts will be one of the most fascinating teams to watch in 2020.

13. team. 45. . . Previous: . Denver Broncos

The Broncos have fallen on hard times since the departure of Peyton Manning in 2016 but Denver could be on the verge of turning things around. Quarterback Drew Lock shows some positive flashes down the stretch in 2019, leading the Broncos to a 4-1 finish to the season.

The addition of Melvin Gordon through free agency should only help Lock as he looks to solidify himself as the team’s franchise quarterback in 2020.
