2. Defensive line

Outside of the AFC Championship, where Kansas City racked up 35 points on the Titans, the only other game where they allowed that many points was against Drew Brees and the Saints. Brees hung nearly 300 yards with three touchdowns while hitting on 27-for-38 passes. Those days will disappear if they can get a better pass rush.

The Titans have DaQuan Jones and Jeffery Simmons doing a solid amount of work, but adding a piece to Harold Landry on the edge would be idea. After losing five-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jurrell Casey in a trade with the Denver Broncos, Tennessee will rely more on the outside rush.

In that regard, signing Jadeveon Clowney wouldn’t be the worst idea.

It would make sense for Clowney as well, as  Vrabel was the defensive coordinator in Houston a few seasons back when Clowney was making life rough for AFC quarterbacks.

For the most part, Tennessee was able to play quality defense in 2019 due in large part to scheme and secondary, but adding one or two key players could make for a threatening combination in 2020.
