3. Roster remains strong

The Chiefs aren’t only a one-man show with Mahomes.

Kansas City has one of the strongest rosters in the NFL and most of the key payers from the 2019 Super Bowl run will be coming back. Mahomes still has an embarrassment of riches on offense with Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and Damien Williams all returning. Second-year wide receiver Mecole Hardman should only improve as he looks to build off of his strong rookie campaign.

One of the most underrated facets of the team is the offensive line. Mitchell Schwartz is inarguably the best right tackle in football, not allowing a sack all of last year. Eric Fisher is a Pro Bowler at left tackle as well, sealing off the edges.

There will be some turnover, of course, but the Chiefs have Frank Clark locked up on defense and have placed the franchise tag on game-wrecking defensive tackle Chris Jones. Add to that a strong NFL Draft and some strategic additions in free agency and the Chiefs should be reloaded come September.
