Third Round

Ezra Cleveland. player. Pick Analysis. OT. Boise State Broncos. 84. 895. Scouting Report

After landing a national championship-winning center in Cushenberry in the third round, Snead will address the edge of his offensive line with this first pick of the third round. The Rams will look to take a three-year starter out of the Mountain West in Boise State Broncos offensive tackle Ezra Cleveland.

At 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds, Cleveland could end up being Whitworth’s eventual successor in Los Angeles at left tackle. That may be a while out because Whitworth wants to play until he’s 40, given the new deal he just signed. Well, Cleveland has 40 career starts under his belt and will look to fight for some playing time right away along this Rams’ offensive line.

G. LSU Tigers. player. Pick Analysis. Damien Lewis. 104. 817. Scouting Report

No, the Rams aren’t done addressing the offensive line on day two of the draft. And apparently, they’re not done landing national champions from the Bayou Bengals’ roster either. It would be really something if the Rams were able to use their No. 104 pick in the compensatory part of the third round to draft guard Damien Lewis and play him next to his college teammate Cushenberry.

At 6-foot-2 and 332 pounds, Lewis may only end up playing guard in the NFL, as he has a lack of range to be a suitable offensive tackle. However, he was key like Cushenberry was in Burrow’s Heisman Trophy-winning season and Edwards-Helaire emerging as one of the best running backs in the SEC last year.
