The Duke basketball roster will reload as it always does under Coach K, but here’s how the starting lineup could look under a few different scenarios.

Times have changed in college basketball and that is evident at a school like Duke. Over the years Duke has been known for recruiting talented players who stay with head coach Mike Krzyzewski for 3-4 years before heading off to the pros.

That model has changed since the one-and-done rule was introduced, with Coach K adapting by relying more on freshmen over the past decade. That approach netted the Blue Devils a championship in 2015 but has led to more mixed results over the past several years.

Last season’s edition of Duke didn’t have nearly as much upside as the Zion Williamson-led squad that reached the Elite Eight, but freshmen like Vernon Carey Jr.and Cassius Stanley played key roles. That Duke squad didn’t get to test itself in the NCAA Tournament, which will lead to an earlier call for Blue Devils looking to go pro.

Sophomore Tre Jones has already declared for the NBA while Carey and Stanley, among others, are weighing their options. Let’s take a look at some potential lineups that Krzyzewski can put together for the Blue Devils next season.
