3. Find a replacement for WR Stefon Diggs

The talented wideout is now residing in the AFC East. He comes off a season in which he made a little noise early in the year and not necessarily of the positive variety. But eventually, the five prot and quarterback Kirk cousins were once again back on the same page. He finished the year with a team-high 63 receptions, good for an impressive 1,130 yards and six touchdowns.

During his five-year stay in Minnesota, wide receiver Stefon Diggs totaled 365 catches for 4,623 yards and 30 scores -and one memorable TD grab in the 2017 playoffs vs. the Saints. But the 2015 fifth-round pick from the University of Maryland was shuffled off to Buffalo and Vikings’ general manager Rick Spielman received a bevy of draft picks in return.

Perhaps the most intriguing number here is that in 2018 he finished with an impressive 102 receptions for 1,021 yards and nine TDs. This past season, he finished with 39 fewer grabs but 109 more yards, making for an impressive 17.9 yards per reception.

Former Tennessee Titans’ wideout Tajae Sharpe is an intriguing additions. In three NFL seasons, he’s totaled 92 receptions for 1,167 yards and eight scores. And he comes off a season in which he finished with four touchdown grabs. But no doubt the team will be looking for big-play deep threat come April as well. Thanks in part to the trade, the Vikings have a dozen picks at their disposal.
