It’s been less than two weeks since the start of the 2020 fiscal year. But there are a handful of NFL teams that haven’t really plunged into free agency.

There are a couple of different ways you can look at this list when it comes to NFL free agency and who’s not doing what.

Are the teams mentioned simply not interested in adding veterans to their rosters? Are the franchises simply cap-strapped (via Spotrac) and have no money to spend on experienced performers? Do these clubs prefer to do their work via the draft? Or is it simply a matter of waiting to see what needs are filled in late April and then proceeding to do a little bargain shopping this spring? It may be one or a combination of any factors.

But perhaps a key word here may be…yet. In any case, here are five teams that haven’t done a lot to date when it comes to adding free agents.

5.  Tennessee Titans

The team that came within one victory of reaching Super Bowl LIV two months ago made news my giving quarterback Ryan Tannehill a new four-year, $118 million contract. It also placed the franchise tag on plow horse running back Derrick Henry, jettisoned veterans such as Cameron Wake, Delanie Walker, Dion Lewis and dealt defensive tackle Jurrell Casey to the Denver Broncos. Marcus Mariota is now with the Raiders and right tackle Jack Conklin signed with the Browns.

As for additions, the biggest have been pass-rusher Vic Beasley and tackle Ty Sambrailo – both former members of the Atlanta Falcons. General manager Jon Robinson has signed his share of veterans in the past but so far, so quiet for a team that was red-hot the second half of 2019. The Titans are saving their pennies to get Henry re-signed. But could they look at some experienced help during the summer?
