4. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins have been aggressive in free agency, and with three first-round picks this year (five picks in the first 60 selections) they are very well-positioned to address further needs. That includes some likelihood they’ll draft one of the top running backs in the class, to go with free agent signing Jordan Howard.

Miami can make moves to add more pieces this offseason as opportunities may surface (Cam Newton?), as they still have $23.8 million in cap space (according to Over The Cap). There seems to be an opportunity to make a trade for Lindsay, without having to give up a premium draft pick or having to tear up his contract right away. Giving him a new contract far more in line with what he’s worth when the time is right should not be difficult, and approaching 26 years old Lindsay looks like a good fit for a team that’s on the rise.

If the Dolphins didn’t have a top-end draft pick to put them in line to draft someone like D’Andre Swift or Jonathan Taylor, they’d be higher on this list of possible fits for Lindsay. But they still stand as a team that should have interest, in the very short-term or looking to next offseason.
