Pick Analysis. Ulm. player. 125. Scouting Report. 6-foot-5 | G. Killian Hayes. 3

The Atlanta Hawks already have their point guard of the future, but they still need more creators. Atlanta’s offense was +8.4 points better per 100 possessions with Young on the floor in 2019-20. Killian Hayes would provide additional creation, as well as the ability to play alongside Young with his size and feel for the game off the ball. He hasn’t been great from 3 yet, but has shooting indicators, as he shot close to 90 percent from the free-throw line in France.

He is not the best athlete and there would be questions about how Atlanta deploys him with one or both of Young and Kevin Huerter. Hayes projects to defend at least two positions with his size and length, and he could potentially handle even bigger wings if he adds weight and strength.

This is a bit of a gamble on fit with Young already manning the point, but look no further than the Thunder this season to find a unit having success with multiple creators. Hayes is listed at 6-foot-6 with a 6-foot-8 wingspan and projects as a better outside shooter than his current numbers with Ulm would indicate.
