Denver Broncos full 2020 Mock NFL Draft
The Denver Broncos have a ton of draft capital to build around QB Drew Lock, with five picks in the first 100 selections.
The Denver Broncos are loaded with 2020 NFL Draft capital with 10 selections. Half of those picks come within the first 100.
With Drew Lock in the driver’s seat, the Broncos will likely aim to surround him with as much top talent as possible to succeed in Pat Shurmur’s system. Shurmur loves to play in 11 personnel (3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB), and right now the Broncos lack wideout depth.
Behind Courtland Sutton, Denver would have to rely on Tim Patrick and DaeSean Hamilton, both of which are better suited as depth players rather than starters. It wouldn’t shock anyone if two receiver have their names are called by the Broncos early in the draft.
Denver also would like to add offensive line depth. The 2020 starters are likely in place, but depth is almost always needed on the line for teams that have any success. They could look to improve both at the tackle spots and on the interior.
Defensively, Broncos fans have been calling for upgrades at the linebacker position for a long time, and perhaps this will be the draft where the team answers the call.
First Round
CeeDee Lamb would be a Day 1 starter for the Broncos behind Sutton. He racked up numerous accolades throughout college, culminating in being named a First-Team AP All-American.
Last season, Lamb totaled 62 receptions for 1,327 yards with 14 touchdowns in 13 games. He has been compared to former Bengals star Chad Johnson, and he has the skills to have an equally productive NFL career. Lamb is explosive once he has the ball in his hands, and he can break a game wide open all by himself.
