WWE WrestleMania 36: What matches are happening on Day 2?
Here is the lineup of matches set for Day 2 of WWE WrestleMania 36.
We knew WWE WrestleMania 36 was going to be unique, being that it was at the Performance Center and there would be no fans. It’s a different look for the year’s biggest event. It’s also the first time WrestleMania has been split up into two nights, so nobody really knew what to expect. After Braun Strowman won the Universal Championship and The Undertaker disposed of AJ Styles in a Boneyard Match, let’s take a look at what’s left to close out the weekend.
- WWE Championship – Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Drew McIntyre (Prediction: McIntyre)
- Last Man Standing Match – Edge vs. Randy Orton (Prediction: Edge)
- NXT Women’s Championship – Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair (Prediction: Charlotte)
- SmackDown Women’s Championship, Fatal Five-Way – Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans vs. Tamina vs. Naomi (Prediction: Bayley)
- Raw Tag Team Championship – The Street Profits (c) vs. Austin Theory & Angel Garza (Prediction: The Street Profits)
- Firefly Fun House Match – “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena (Prediction: Cena)
- Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley (Prediction: Aleister Black)
- Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler (Prediction: Otis)
A couple of quick thoughts on the finale here. I’m not expecting the Firefly Fun House Match to be quite as captivating as the Boneyard Match. But it’s hard to beat Cena on the biggest night of the year, and this could spiral Wyatt in a whole new dimension of crazy if he loses.
It’s a bad night to be Randy Orton. After the attack heard around the world the night after the Royal Rumble, and the RKO to Edge’s wife, there’s nowhere for The Viper to hide now. Edge knows there are no rules tonight, and he has everything that’s not nailed down at his disposal. This will be brutal, it will be vicious and it will be a victory for The Rated R Superstar.
Drew McIntyre took the scenic route to get to the main event at WrestleMania. If you’ve seen his Untold story on the WWE Network, you need to check it out. I’ll be the most surprised person in the building if we wake up tomorrow morning and Brock Lesnar is still the WWE Champion.
By the time WrestleMania 36 is over, it will go down as the most unusual and talked about event in WWE history. And that covers a lot of ground. But when you hold a two-night event in an empty Performance Center, you’re setting the stage for history.
