The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have new uniforms, and they are going back to an old look they enjoyed when the team won its only Super Bowl.

Pewter Power is back in Tampa.

On Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their new uniforms, and they are very similar to the duds worn by John Lynch, Warren Sapp and Derrick Brooks in the team’s halcyon days.

Here’s what some fans and pundits are saying on Twitter about the refreshed vibe in Tampa:

It’s hard to be against this change. Tampa Bay has had one of the ugliest uniforms in recent memory, and now its going back to a fairly classic look.

Of course, the one complaint many will have is the lack of a creamsicle jersey, even if it is an alternate. Everybody seems to agree that Bucco Bruce was a classic, even if the team was incredibly unsuccessful while wearing those uniforms from 1976-96.

Perhaps the losing is why the franchise has really shied away from going back to the original kit, which is understandable. However, give the people want they want. Alas, positive movement still deserves applause.

In any event, the Buccaneers upgraded here. They are the first team to showcase their new look for the 2020 season, with a bevy more coming in the next few days and weeks.

The Atlanta Falcons, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots are all undergoing overhauls to varying degrees as well.
