Washington Redskins Fifth Round Pick

The Redskins can continue to build around Haskins with an interior lineman like Yasir Durant. He will likely have most of his success in the NFL as a guard, but he has the experience to step in as a right tackle or swing tackle if needed. That versatility would be extremely valuable to Washington. Durant lacks power as a run blocker, but his pass protection jumps off the screen when watching his film. With Haskins in control, a solid swing tackle option this late in the draft seems like a great decision for the Redskins.

Sixth Round

The Redskins do not currently have a sixth round selection.

Washington Redskins Seventh Round Picks

Arkansas State is a school that won’t produce a ton of NFL talent, but Omar Bayless is an exception. In 2019, Bayless had 93 receptions for 1,653 yards (17.8 per) and 17 touchdowns and was named third-team AP All-American. He has big play ability and would help stretch the field for the Redskins. Bayless could have the potential to crack the roster as a backup and as a returner on special teams.

Yes, the Redskins will already have a loaded pass rush group by this point in the draft, but in today’s NFL you really can’t have enough. Last season Trevis Gipson led Tulsa with 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He’s raw and still in the developmental stage of his football career, but he has the potential to become a viable option on an NFL roster. With the pass rush group already in place, the Redskins can afford to take a player like Gipson to develop his skills for future use when players like Kerrigan retire from the league.
