42. . Cornerback. San Francisco 49ers. Trevon Diggs. 31. player

The San Francisco 49ers hold two first round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, one pretty early at pick No. 12, and another closer to the bottom of the round. With the No. 12 overall pick, they added a quality wide receiver in our mock draft, and here, they add a player who will be counted on to shut down opposing wideouts.

Trevon Diggs is the brother of former Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, and comes into the NFL with a reputation of being a shutdown guy. He was a leader on some incredibly talented Alabama defenses during his time at school, and he joins a defensive backfield led by the consummate veteran in Richard Sherman.

There are not too many holes on this 49ers roster, and having two first round picks are going to go a long way in ensuring they can make another run at a Super Bowl. They had that game in their hands entering the fourth quarter, and if they can add the pieces they need, it could put them over the top.

. Edge. Kansas City Chiefs. Terrell Lewis. 32. player. 124

The Kansas City Chiefs will round out the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, this after beating the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs will head into the 2020 season as the consensus favorite to win it all again, and they add an edge rusher here at pick No. 32.

Terrell Lewis is being mocked everywhere from the middle of the first round to the second round, and he would be a perfect fit for the Chiefs defense. They played much better than advertised on the defensive side of the ball last season, and in Lewis, they get another guy who can play on the outside, and wreck havoc on opposing quarterbacks.

Next. Pewter Power is back for the Buccaneers, and so is a winning team. dark

The 2020 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and while it is going to be a lot different than recent years, the goals remain the same. For the Chiefs, their goal is getting back to the top of the league, and they certainly have the roster to do just that.
