East. 2. 58. Scouting Report. NFC. Washington Redskins. player. Pick Analysis

The Washington Redskins need to only be three wins better than their 3-13 mark from a season ago. They don’t need to get to seven to satisfy the 3.5-benchmark of the Detroit Lions, but the Redskins still will likely need to find a way to beat this NFC team on their last-place schedule. Fortunately for Washington, there are plenty of wins to be had for Ron Rivera‘s team next fall.

Washington plays in arguably the weakest division in football. Though they’re not beating the Philadelphia Eagles either meeting, they have a shot at sweeping the New York Giants and maybe splitting with the high-end, but still dysfunctional Dallas Cowboys. So we’re looking at roughly a 3-3 or 2-4 record in NFC East play with 10 other games for the Redskins to work with.

As stated before, the Redskins play a last place schedule. They could be the Lions on the road and will face Rivera’s former team in the Carolina Panthers at home in a revenge game. That’s so very much a win for the Redskins, it’s borderline ridiculous. They could win both or split, so for the sake of simplicity, let’s say Washington goes 3-5 in those eight games, can they get to 3-5 in the other?

Washington plays the AFC North and the NFC West in its entirety this fall. The Cincinnati Bengals at home could be a win, as could the Cleveland Browns on the road. The Arizona Cardinals on the road and the Los Angeles Rams at home could be wins, too. Washington will go somewhere between 2-6 and 4-4 in those eight games. Regardless, six wins is definitely possible for them.
