4. Las Vegas Raiders

It’s not so much that the Raiders uniforms are ugly and need to change for that reason, rather it’s time to leave the past in Oakland. As cruel as it was to take the team from the community in the first place, it’s an extra twist of the knife to take the colors too.

Obviously, based on everything we’ve seen from the Raiders new Vegas stadium, the current team colors figure to factor prominently in the team’s future. No one is saying the colors need to change, but tweaking the uniforms so that they’re simply different is something that needs to happen. Whether that’s to try and lessen the blow of fans left in Oakland watching the team play in Vegas or to simply represent the change that is happening to the franchise, new Raiders threads make sense.

Everything about the franchise has changed based on this move to Vegas. Jon Gruden was given the keys to the castle so that the team would have a big name head coach upon relocating. It was a big reason Antonio Brown was traded for (even though it didn’t work out, the sentiment of a big time offensive weapon to sell tickets with was there) and it’s why the team is trying to make splashy moves.

Changing up the uniforms is in line with this thinking. We don’t need drastic changes, but something should be either updated or altered to reflect the change happening with the Raiders now in Vegas.
