The Los Angeles Rams need an influx of young talent, and here’s how the 2020 NFL Draft could turn out for them.

Coming off a Super Bowl appearance, the Los Angeles Rams went 9-7 and missed the playoffs last year. The NFC West is tough, with the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks not going anywhere, and it may get tougher as the Arizona Cardinals look set to rise this year.

The Rams barely resemble the roster that went to the Super Bowl two seasons ago. Todd Gurley, Brandin Cooks, Corey Littleton and others are gone, and what remains is an incredibly top-heavy roster that lacks depth. By cutting Gurley and trading Cooks in the middle of big contracts, the Rams have taken on a pile of dead money.

Perhaps more than any team in the league, the Rams could use the influx of young, cheaper talent that can come via the draft. But they only have seven picks in this year’s draft right now, and one of those just came via the Cooks trade with the Houston Texans.

But if the Rams manage to take advantage of potential value and fill some needs, the 2020 draft can be a great success for them.

Here’s a look at how the seven rounds of the 2020 draft could shake out for the Los Angeles Rams.

1st Round

The Rams traded their 2020 and 2021 first-round picks to the Jacksonville Jaguars for cornerback Jalen Ramsey last year. So barring a trade up, they won’t go on the clock until Day 2 of the draft.
