Is 2020 the year the Green Bay Packers take a successor for Aaron Rodgers or will the team instead look to surround him with new offensive weapons?

The Green Bay Packers fell just one game short of the Super Bowl last season, as head coach Matt LaFleur proved himself plenty capable of his first opportunity at the helm of an NFL franchise.

The 2020 NFL Draft will offer LaFleur further opportunity to help shape his roster’s identity. After focusing primarily on the defense last April, how does the team approach the upcoming draft with a number of needs on offense? Let’s find out with this seven-round Packers mock draft.

1st round

There are conceivably a few ways the Packers could go with this pick: defensive tackle, wide receiver or offensive tackle. Names like Brandon Aiyuk, Ezra Cleveland, Denzel Mims, Ross Blacklock and Jalen Reagor all make sense, but I’ll throw a wild card into the mix: USC’s Michael Pittman Jr.

Pittman has gone relatively under the radar during the pre-draft process but could become a bona fide star on the outside for Green Bay.

The son of a former NFL player, Pittman has outstanding athleticism for his size and is one of the toughest players in the entire class. He relishes the opportunity to punish defensive backs in the run game and offers outstanding body control with a plus catch radius.

Many of Green Bay’s preferred targets at wide receiver could be off the board by the time their second-round pick rolls around, so here they pounce early on the supremely talented former Trojan.
